Your data in Bridge

Last updated: October 2026

Bridge reads your email and calendar to keep your relationships in one place. Anyone handing a tool that much deserves straight answers to four questions. Here they are, with what the product does today rather than what we hope to build.

1. Does it rank people, or just collect them?

Nobody becomes a contact just because they emailed you. Bridge keeps the two jobs apart:

  • Review before record. New people found in your mail wait in a review list called People from Email. A person becomes a contact only when you confirm them, and you can dismiss anyone in one tap. Nothing is enriched before that.
  • Newsletters, receipts and robots stay out of the way. Bridge classifies incoming mail with standard bulk-mail signals (unsubscribe headers, automated senders, Gmail categories) and keeps that mail out of your main views. It is not deleted, so you can audit what was set aside. Mail from someone already in your contacts always comes through, even their newsletter.
  • Enrichment is off until you turn it on. Public profile lookups never run on their own before you opt in. When Bridge is not sure a public profile is your contact, it parks the result for you to pick instead of applying a single field.
  • Ranking comes from your activity. Each relationship gets a health score built from what actually happened (building, strong, maintaining, cooling, dormant, at risk), so the people who matter rise and the ones going quiet get flagged.

2. Does every fact keep its source, and can I undo a bad merge?

  • Every entry names its source. Each item on a contact's timeline records where it came from (Gmail, Calendar, a note you typed, Rolo, a captured chat) and the message or event it came from. Context imported from a file or a pasted conversation keeps its own source record and evidence.
  • Merges match on identity, not guesses. Bridge links people by email address, phone number and profile URL, and records which connected mailbox surfaced each identity. Meeting briefs cite the entries they were built from, and Rolo declines to write one when there is not enough to go on.
  • Undo is built in. Actions Rolo takes in chat show a 30 second undo. Writes made by a connected assistant such as Claude Desktop land on a review strip with a 24 hour undo. A contact captured from WhatsApp, Telegram or a forwarded email can be undone for 15 minutes. An email draft you approve waits five minutes before it leaves, so a quick tap can be taken back. Anything destructive asks you first.
  • Wrong matches are remembered. An enrichment match you reject is kept as a record of the wrong match rather than quietly retried.

3. What do AI providers see, and what does Bridge store?

  • Read scopes for reading. Bridge asks Google for read-only access to Gmail, Contacts and the one spreadsheet you paste a link to. A separate send permission is used only to send a message you reviewed and approved in Bridge. Calendar is read and write so Bridge can create an event when you ask it to. The full list and why each is needed is in the Privacy Policy.
  • Google content goes to three providers only. Anything from a connected Google account is routed only to Google (Gemini), Anthropic and OpenAI, and Bridge enforces that in its AI router rather than by policy alone. None of it is used to train models, ours or anyone else's. The provider list for every other feature is in How Bridge Uses AI.
  • What is stored. For each message Bridge reads it stores the sender, subject and up to the first 5,000 characters of the text as an entry on the contact's timeline, plus what it derived (health scores, commitments, briefs). That content is kept while the account stays connected and is purged when you delete your account, including the stored email and calendar text. Sampled AI inputs used for quality checks are deleted after 30 days.

4. How much of my data do I own, and can I take it with me?

All of it, including what Bridge worked out on your behalf.

  • Export everything from Settings on the web. One JSON file holds your contacts, timeline, deals, reminders, notes and captures, and the derived layer: relationship health scores, commitments Bridge extracted, meeting briefs, enrichment results with their sources and confidence, and every draft or suggestion Rolo prepared along with your review decision.
  • Contacts also export as CSV and vCard for any other address book or CRM.
  • Delete from Settings on web or mobile. Deleting your account purges your data from Bridge's application database, including the stored email and calendar text.
